The
Sales Resume - Show Results
By
Martin Buckland, Master Resume Writer, AnAmericanResume.com
A sales
resume revolves around results! It succinctly portrays your
revenue-generating skills, your ability to increase the client
base, penetrate the market and provide good customer service.
Sales
is also very competitive and cut-throat, making it even more
imperative that you stand out from the competition. A great
way to do this is to highlight your sales figures. Depending
upon your employer, you may be allowed to divulge figures
or in the case of a private company only percentages can be
provided.
A resume
is your sales tool, the window to the world and a promotional
document to future employers. Presentation counts; sales figures
impress! A way to entice a reader to view your sales figures
is to create a table. As long as the sales figures show growth
it increases the impact and eye appeal. The reader can immediately
pinpoint relevant figures that can propel your viability as
a candidate.
Here are

Are you
impressed?
These
two tables impressed the decision makers; both clients received
multiple interviews and secured new positions at the senior
level within a few weeks of receiving their new resumes. The
information presented is very readable; the numbers clearly
stand out. These figures can then be expanded upon in the
interview.
Think
as if you were the person who is in an influential decision
making position. I’m sure you will agree that making
the sales figures stand out would entice an employer to pick
up the phone and call you.
